The Principals of Prenovost, Normandin, Bergh & Dawe are proud to announce that Benjamin K. Griffin, Kristin F. Godeke, and Courtney A. Winzeler have been named Partners at the firm as of January 26, 2016.

Over the course of their employment at the firm, Mr. Griffin, Ms. Godeke and Ms. Winzeler have exhibited the highest levels of professionalism, ethics, and dedication to the firm’s clients:

firm_benjamin_griffin2Mr. Griffin has been practicing law in California since 2005 and joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2007. His practice includes real estate, escrow and title insurance litigation representing real estate brokers and agents, title, and escrow companies in court, arbitration and before the Department of Business Oversight (DBO) and Bureau of Real Estate (CalBRE). Mr. Griffin has also served as a State Bar of California Special Master and is a member of the American Bar and Orange County Bar Associations. Mr. Griffin is a contributing author on receiverships, environmental law and serves as a panelist speaker at real estate and escrow seminars, and also handles appellate work.
firm_kristin_godeke_smMs. Godeke has been practicing law in California since 2007 and joined the firm as an Associate Attorney the same year. Since joining the firm, Ms. Godeke has garnered extensive litigation experience, and has tried numerous jury and bench trials throughout the State of California. She also focuses on civil appellate work and has successfully argued several matters before the California Court of Appeal (4th District). Ms. Godeke has served as a panelist speaker at numerous seminars relating to consumer and commercial law and is active in the Orange County legal community, most recently serving as the chair of the OCBA’s Appellate law section for its 2015 term.
courtney_winzeler2Ms. Winzeler was admitted to the State Bar of California in December 2007 and the State Bar of Arizona in October 2008. Ms. Winzeler joined the firm as an Associate Attorney in 2011. Ms. Winzeler’s practice focuses on construction defect litigation where she has gained extensive experience handling numerous mediations, arbitrations and jury trials. Ms. Winzeler has also represented banks and credit unions, and individual clients in family law, probate and various other business litigation matters. Ms. Winzeler has also co-authored and presented educational seminars relating to construction defect litigation. In 2014, Ms. Winzeler was named Laura’s House “Legal Volunteer of the Year” for her countless hours of service dedicated to ending the silence of domestic violence. In 2015, Ms. Winzeler was also an honorary speaker at the Annual Arizona Convention for Business and Professional Women.

We are pleased to announce the appointment by the City Council of the City of Brea of our Managing Partner Thomas J. Prenovost, Jr., to the Board of Directors for California Domestic Water Company.

The Cities of Brea, La Habra, La Mirada and Whittier directly, or indirectly, are Shareholders in this Corporation which allows them to purchase water from this Corporation. Tom Prenovost will serve a two-year term and provide oversight, direction and leadership in this unique public/private organization.

In late October there will be a special print edition of the Irish Voice Newspaper featuring the 2015 Irish Legal 100 honorees. The exclusive fall event and award ceremony will be held at the home of the Irish ambassador (by special invitation only). The specifics of the event will be announced in August.
